According to Xinhua News Agency Astana, May 30, 2025 China - Central Asian countries governance seminar and dialogue on humanistic exchanges was held in Astana, capital of Kazakhstan on the 30th. More than 260 representatives from China and Central Asian countries attended the seminar, focusing on the theme of “modernization and regional cooperation: the road to common prosperity” to carry out in-depth discussions. The event also set up four sub-forums, focusing respectively on “Global Changes and Regional Cooperation”, “Sustainable Development and Modernization Exploration and Innovation”, “Global Security Initiatives and Response to Multiple Security Challenges”, “Exchange of Civilizations” and “Regional Cooperation”. Four sub-forums were set up to focus on the topics of “Global Changes and Regional Cooperation”, “Sustainable Development and Modernization Exploration and Innovation”, “Global Security Initiatives and Response to Multi-Security Challenges”, and “Exchanges and Mutual Appreciation of Civilizations and Promotion of Mutual Understanding among People”.
The organizers of the event said that China is comprehensively promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Chinese-style modernization, and Central Asian countries are also diligently seeking to take the road of development and revitalization with their own characteristics, China and Central Asian countries are peers and good partners on the road of modernization. China and Central Asian countries should enhance the level of cooperation in building the “Belt and Road”, support each other in taking the path of development in line with their own national conditions, promote the construction of a fairer and more reasonable international order, and strengthen international humanistic exchanges and cooperation.
Participants said that this event has further strengthened the exchange of experience between China and Central Asian countries in governance and management, and injected new momentum for the countries to deepen practical cooperation in various fields, join hands to promote modernization, and build a closer China-Central Asia community of destiny.

At the event, the Overseas Research Center for Chinese-Style Modernization (Kazakhstan), together with Chinese and Kazakh scholars, released a report on the “China-Central Asia Community of Destiny Study”, which focuses on the importance of regional cooperation in the context of global changes, as well as China's cooperation projects with Central Asian countries in the areas of infrastructure, logistics and communication lines and their impacts on the regional supply chain and Euro-Asian interconnections . In the face of the threats and challenges of global change, the report calls for rethinking and strengthening regional cooperation to build a more just, rational and inclusive international order.
