The 2023 Tianfu Book Fair opened on October 13th
The 2023 Tianfu Book Fair officially opened on October 13th. This year's book fair has its main venue at the New Century International Convention and Exhibition Center in Chengdu, with sub-venues set up in various cities (prefectures). It adopts a format of "domestic and international synchronization, integration of online and offline, combination of display and sales, and public reading linkage". Nearly 40 publishing and media groups, over 600 publishing and distribution units, more than 100 library and distribution institutions, and numerous cultural and creative institutions are participating both online and offline. The scale exceeds that of previous sessions.
The 2023 Tianfu Book Fair is guided by the Printing and Distribution Bureau of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, the Publicity Department of the Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, and the People's Government of Chengdu City. It is hosted by Sichuan Xinhua Publishing and Distribution Group Co., Ltd. and organized by Xinhua Wenxuan Publishing & Media Co., LTD. This year's book fair, with the annual theme of "Sharing the Fragrance of Books and Exchanging Civilizations", will last until October 16th.
The Tianfu Book Fair was founded in 2019. It is a major measure taken by our province to voluntarily undertake new cultural missions and promote cultural prosperity in the new era. It has been held for four consecutive years before, and this year marks the fifth edition. In recent years, Sichuan has taken books as a medium, focusing on disseminating mainstream values, stimulating industrial vitality, meeting the new demands of the people, and leading the new trends of the industry. It has brought the words in ancient books to life and aroused the cultural confidence hidden in people's hearts, writing a new chapter in the publishing and distribution industry that reflects the style of Bashu and the spirit of Sichuan. The Tianfu Book Fair has become a shining business card for Sichuan's construction of a culturally strong province and an annual cultural event for readers, authors and publishers across the country.
