The completion of the "China Pavilion" at Srijaya Wadnapura University has deepened educational and cultural exchanges between China and Srijaya

On May 25, 2025, the "China Pavilion" at the University of Sri Javawadnapura in Colombo, Sri Lanka, was officially completed, marking a new stage in the cooperation between China and Sri Lanka in the fields of education and culture. The museum was built with the assistance of the Chinese side and completed in two months. It will become an important platform for promoting academic exchanges and cultural interactions between the two countries. This project is a model of educational cooperation between China and Sri Lanka under the Belt and Road Initiative, and it is expected to become a window for dialogue among diverse civilizations.

The China Pavilion has a total construction area of approximately 450 square meters, integrating modern design with traditional elements. It houses a Chinese library, smart classrooms, cultural exhibition halls and an academic exchange center. In the future, the museum will regularly host activities such as Chinese language teaching, Chinese art exhibitions, and science and technology lectures, providing a space for Sri Lankan teachers and students to experience Chinese culture in an immersive way. This project marks another milestone in the cooperation between China and Sri Lanka in the field of culture and people-to-people exchanges, demonstrating the firm commitment of both sides to mutual learning of civilizations and win-win education under the background of jointly building the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road".
