The National School of Administration of Senegal collaborates to build the "China Pavilion"
Dakar, July 19 (Xinhua) -- (Reporters Jin Zheng and Xing Jianqiao) The signing ceremony of the memorandum of Understanding on the joint construction of the "China Pavilion" between the Information Office of The State Council of China and the National School of Administration of Senegal was held at the National School of Administration in Dakar, the capital of Senegal, on the 19th. This event was jointly organized by China National Publications Import & Export (Group) Corporation and the National School of Administration of Senegal. Over 100 representatives from the educational and cultural circles of China and Senegal attended.
On the morning of the same day, Zhang Yanbin, the special representative of the Information Office of The State Council of China, and Fal, the general manager of the National School of Administration of Senegal, signed a memorandum of understanding on jointly building the "China Pavilion". Subsequently, Ambassador Zhang Xun of the People's Republic of China to Senegal presented the "List of Books Donated by the People's Republic of China to the National School of Administration of Senegal" to Minister of Higher Education and Research of Senegal, Niana. The "Perceiding China" 2018 China-themed Book Exhibition in Senegal opened at the Senegalese Black Civilization Museum on the same day. A total of 310 titles and 1,589 French-language Chinese books will be presented to the National School of Administration of Senegal after the exhibition.
It is understood that the "China Pavilion" is a brand project of the Information Office of The State Council of China to introduce China to the outside world and promote cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries. Its establishment aims to showcase China's current development status in multiple fields such as economy and politics, history and culture, science and technology, and education through excellent books, film and television programs, and digital graphic and textual materials, allowing local people to better perceive Chinese civilization. Understanding China's development and changes will thus open a window for China to conduct cultural exchanges and achieve mutual learning among civilizations with other countries around the world.
